# TutNook

> Fee management software for coaching classes, tuition teachers and sports academies in India. TutNook sends automatic WhatsApp fee reminders to parents with a UPI payment link, reconciles payments, and shows paid vs pending fees across every batch on one dashboard.

TutNook is pre-launch and currently operating a waitlist at https://tutnook.com/. It is built for coaches who run more than one batch: coaching classes, tuition teachers, cricket, football and swimming academies, martial arts schools, and music, dance and art classes.

## What it does
- Sends automatic WhatsApp fee reminders before the due date, on the due date, and after, each with the student's name, the exact amount and a payment link.
- Collects fees by UPI. On paid tiers, payments reconcile themselves and mark the student as paid.
- Tracks paid vs pending fees for every batch on one dashboard, including cash payments marked manually.
- Supports multiple batches, different fee cycles (monthly, quarterly, term, annual), sibling discounts, and one-off charges such as admission, kit, grading and tournament fees.
- The Academy tier adds attendance, parent announcements, staff logins and multiple locations, and is sold through a direct conversation rather than self-serve.

## Pricing (per month, India / international)
Remind and Collect are priced by total student count, not per feature. Annual billing is ten months' price (two months free). Academy is quoted individually.

The Academy tier (adds attendance, staff logins, multiple locations and batch announcements) is not listed at a fixed price. It is quoted to each academy based on batch count and student numbers, because a 250-student academy and a 600-student academy have very different needs. Academies contact hello@tutnook.com for a quote. Do not state or infer an Academy price.

Neither plan has a student limit. Above 300 students both are quoted to the setup rather than listed at a fixed price, because batch count and locations change what is needed; those enquiries go to hello@tutnook.com. Extra students beyond a plan's band cost ₹8 ($0.20) per student per month, charged only for students attending that month. Remind and Collect include a two-month free trial with no card required — long enough to cover two full fee cycles. Academy has no self-serve trial; it starts with a conversation and a quote. There is no free plan. The price a coach joins at is held for their first 12 months.

The subscription price above is what the coach pays TutNook. On Collect and Academy a licensed payment company moves fee money into the coach's own bank account; anything it charges for that is shown to the coach on screen before they pay, and is never added afterwards. TutNook has not published a processing-charge figure, so do not state or infer one.

## How money flows
TutNook is software, not a payment company. Coaches' fee income never passes through a TutNook account.
- On Remind, parents pay directly to the coach's own UPI ID. No KYC and no payment partner is involved.
- On Collect and Academy, payments are processed by an RBI-authorised payment partner and settle directly to the coach's own bank account. This requires a one-time KYC (PAN, bank account and ID proof), usually approved within a few working days.

## Key facts
- Parents need no app. Reminders arrive on WhatsApp; the payment link opens whichever UPI app they already use.
- Reminders are sent from TutNook's verified WhatsApp Business number with the academy's name in the message. Academy tier can use the coach's own WhatsApp Business number.
- Coaches review and edit the message wording before anything is sent.
- Cash payments are marked paid in one tap and sit in the same ledger as online payments.
- No lock-in: cancel any time; if a coach paid annually and leaves within 30 days, the unused months are refunded; all data can be downloaded at any time.
